About

Who we are

A Georgia nonprofit, organized to love our neighbor in Honduras through construction, care, education, and the Gospel.

Hands of Mercy Ministries

From United States to Honduras

Hands of Mercy Ministries, Inc. is a Georgia nonprofit organized to love our neighbor in practical ways. From our base in the United States we support churches and remote communities in Honduras: building and repairing church buildings, roofs, and latrines; giving economic and logistical support to a partner clinic; helping people with disabilities; and opening educational doors for children and families. We do this as followers of Jesus Christ, in the spirit of the Good Samaritan. A three-person Board governs the organization. Field teams in Honduras and logistics partners in the U.S. carry out the work.

Our principal office is in Hiram, Georgia. The work itself is among churches and underserved communities in Honduras: Peña Blanca and Los Naranjos, Santa Cruz de Yojoa; indigenous areas in La Paz; and places farther still.

Governance

Board of Directors

A three-person Board governs the corporation. These officers hold the legal vote. Day-to-day field and operations work is carried out by a local team of partners organized in each area of influence, who report to the principal Board in the United States.
